New Creation!! The Scarflette

Here is my latest creation. It is a scarflette. It is like a neckwarmer but a little longer. I attached two buttons to it also so it will stay attached when someone wears it around their neck. I love black and purple so I figured my two favorite colors would be could to try out a new creation. I almost named this "the Lydia" because it totally reminds me of Lydia, the girl from BeetleJuice. The cartoon one, that is. She always wore a black and purple striped dress. Anyways I plan on making more, right now I'm pretty preoccupied with my nine page research paper for my English class.
P.S. I hope everyone got their vote out today. It was the very first time for me to be able to vote. I felt very empowered and proud to be an American.

Crazy October

I finally got to post some new items to my shop last night here they are:
My grandma knitted the two scarves with really pretty fur that is shimmery. This month has been so hectic. Our family has about 20 birthdays in October so those combined with school, I've had no time to do any crocheting. I've had the two berets made for a few weeks now, but just haven't had the time to list them in my shop. Yesterday I finished up with my Economics class, I got a B on the final, so I was pretty happy about that. I start my new Econ class this next week. I really hate econ but I need it for my accounting major. This Saturday is Mark's 24th birthday. I think we are just going out for sushi. It should be a nice day. My next crochet project is two pillows for my step-mom. I'm excited about how they are going to turn out. I'll post pics when I am finished.

Give Me Patience Lord!!

Today brought some awesome news for my step mom Stacy. She has been waiting for what seems like forever, to hear about this job. The company had a hiring freeze so that is what postponed everything. Stacy didn't expect to hear from them at least until the beginning of next year. However, Jesus answered all of our prayers and she got the job offer!! Thank you Jesus!!! I am so happy for her. Now we wait to hear about what is going to happen with this job that Mark is waiting to hear from. He has already had the interviews and feels like it went well. I ran over a verse today in my bible that I needed to hear, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" - Philippians 4:6-8. This just reassured me that I cannot be anxious about anything because Jesus is in control and no matter what happens he knows what is best for our lives. Mark has gone through a lot of disappointments this past year, but he has never given up. So please keep us in your prayers. :)

Birthday Gift

I was able to finish the doily I was making for my grandma so I thought I would post a pic to show all of you. I think I'm going to attempt to make it to the gym today, but who knows if I'll make it there. I've got lots of homework today so that will keep me occupied. I'm so excited that tomorrow is October 1st!!! That means only 27 more days till I'm 21!! :) Well I guess that is it, nothing else really exciting going on.

Almost There

Today marks the halfway mark for us being together for SIX years. I can't believe it has already been that long. The pic of me in the pink is from Mark's senior prom in '03 and the pic next to it is from this past August. I thought it would be fun to see how different we look. Although it doesn't look like we've changed much. Anyway, on a change of subject here. I won't be posting any new creations today. I have to finish up a red doily that I'm crocheting right now for my grandma's birthday with is on Thursday. I enjoy crocheting doily's now except that they take a while to finish. Maybe I'll post the finish product if I have time today. Well, I guess it is time to start the day now. Ugh.. I hate Mondays :(

New Halloween Baby Creations

With Halloween being just around the corner, I wanted to get some festive booties made up for my baby boutique section on my shop. The orange are size 12-24 months while the white and black booties are 3-6 months. I love making baby booties for different holidays. I go a little overboard with buying adorable ribbons to put on them.

I finally made one!

Well, I finally got a blog. I mostly wanted one so I could post all of my new creations that I sell on my etsy shop which you can find here pandaloves.etsy.com. The above pic is of myself. I felt people should get to see the artist behind all of the creations :) Now I need to get back to figuring out my way around this thing.
